Sketch of Tavistock House, where Dickens and his family lived from 1851 until Dickens’s banishment of his wife Catherine in 1858.  The house contained a theater where a number of private theatricals arranged by Dickens were performed.  Dickens wrote Bleak House and Little Dorrit at Tavistock House.
