Portrait of George Hogarth, from a miniature owned by Miss Georgina Hogarth.  George Hogarth, who was Dickens’s father-in-law, was the editor of “The Household Narrative of Current Events,” a monthly supplement to the weekly periodical “Household Words.”  According to Eckel, the “Household Narrative” was a failure.  It was published from January 1850 until December 1855.
